Multi-Building Mill

I know nothing of this building yet, but once I do some research on it, I'll edit the site with more info. For now I'll tell you it was a huge, multiple building mill complex. Good times.

Tower Dye Mill

In the second location for this afternoon, Meister, Turrel, Cambria and myself headed to a dye mill around the corner. I don't actually know anything about this Rhode Island dye mill aside from the fact it's slowly falling in on itself. In what looks to have begun as a small ceiling leak now sits a 30ft diameter "skylight". Pretty nifty. Fabric littered other areas of this mill, but lighting conditions were beginning to suck. Here's what I got.

Frozen In Time

I was contacted by David Linton, a reporter for the Sun Chronicle, asking if I'd be interested in doing a story about Abandoned Dreams. I thought about it, and decided to go for it. It came out in this Sunday, January 24's newspaper. Front page and all of page four. They printed three of my photos and two by Sun Chronicle photographer Mike George. The article came out well in my opinion, though I seem to have pissed off a few people with it. Too bad for them.

You can view the full article, minus the photos, on the Sun Chronicles website. Here's the link for all you lazy people like me.

One Last Climb

I said my final fairwell to the rooftops of my city for a little while for personal reasons. Here's the two photos I walked away with.

A Rainy Return To God's Home

Turrel happened to be in town to get a haircut from Cambria, so afterwards we decided to make a return trip to the orphanage. Thanks to the rain, lighting conditions sucked and I wasn't able to shoot much, but here's what I came home with. Enjoy.

Home For God's Children

Judging by paperwork Cambria and I found inside this location, it's become clear to us that this was some kind of orphanage or foster home for Christian children. It now sits abandoned, full of remains of it's past. Parts of this place looked brand new and parts looked like we walked down the hallway and into a whole new location thanks to burst water pipes. All in all, another wonderful new location.
