The task was simple: Clean a long forgotten cemetery since no one else would.
The Invite: Located HERE.
The event: A complete success. I can't even begin to describe the difference we made in the old Peck Burial Plot. We removed small trees and shrubs, trimmed bushes coming in from outside the fence, raked the shit out of it and put a special little reminder for those buried there. Each gravestone there is either in really good condition or really bad, almost completely gone condition. Each time we uncovered a gravestone that was almost completely taken over by time, we marked with a wooden cross and flowers. The place looks really nice now. Thanks goes out to everyone who stopped by today and either helped out or just came by to show support: Roger, Mot, Allsion, Turrel, Keti Fallout, Cambria, Crystal, Littany, Angelea, Zeke, Benjamin, Mike George of The Sun Chronicle, and the Attleboro Historic Preservation Society. Without you people, this would have never gotten started, let alone finished. Much love to you all.
