Re-Cleaning Peck

Until we get a good reason as to why we shouldn't be honoring the dead, we're going to continue to shape up this cemetery. It's being lost to time, and I want future generations to enjoy it as I have. Hopefully, with this article from the Sun Chronicle, we will find out who came in after us and why they removed everything we spent our time doing.

  1. I hope you figure out who's doing this and get them to stop. from the pictures I've seen y'all did an awesome job on it and its not fair for y'all to have to keep re doing it.

  2. Keep it at it, kids! I admire your desire to preserve our local history in the restoration (and re-restoration) of the grounds at Peck Street's cemetery. God bless, and good work!

  3. Do you think they viewed all the crosses as a sign that you were trying to evangelize the cemetery? That would be my guess. As for the rocks and flowers though....very odd indeed.

  4. I received an email today suggesting the same thing Matty, and if that's the case, I can more than respect that. I'd just like whoever took them down to contact me and let me know. Whoever it was couldn't have cared about it too much previously or me and my group wouldn't have had to come in and work like we did. Last June, another group spent nearly two days doing the same thing.

  5. Great work folks! I enjoy checking your site out, and sometimes forget about it, until I scroll through my favorites. Is there a way to automatically get updates from this site? I would have come out to give you folks a hand on such a great cause, or at least donated.

Also--is there an email I can send you some annoymous tips on places to explore? There are a bunch of places I used to explore with kids in attleboro growing up 20 years ago---and would love to see what they look like now.
