Abandoned Dreams was lucky enough to have been driving by as the building was burning, so we stopped and photographed the end of an era.
Abandoned Dreams was also lucky enough to have explored this vacant mill a number of times over the past year or so. I've rarely used it's real name to avoid incidents like this, using the fictional name "The Tinsel Mill". Here's a list of links to sets of Union on the Abandoned Dreams site, followed by my photographs of the fire, and a short video.

I was going through old Christmas decorations and found a number of Christmas tree mats from "Union Wadding Co." Made in U.S.A. So I googled it and found your site. These mats must be 35 years old. Bought at Lamstons in NYC by my mother.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool. Thanks for sharing. It's always nice to see actual connections with these places.
