The Tinsel Mill

Turrel asked us if we'd be interested in heading down his way on his day off to scout out a couple of local places he'd been eying. We agreed and decided to meet at his place around 10:30. We woke up 3 hours later than we were supposed to meet him, and then missed our bus. After securing a ride from my sister, we finally arrived at his house at almost 3. We headed out and did a bit of scouting, and then decided to just wander the industrial portion of his city. After almost 3 hours, and with the sun beginning to set, we found this massive industrial complex. To give a size, here's a excerpt from an article I found about the building. "A 330,000 sf lot with a 360,000 sf building owned by the Union Wadding Company. The foundations of the mill date from 1847, with reconstruction occurring in 1870 after a series of fires". The building, from all info I've been able to find about it online, was used to make tinsel, Christmas decoration, and other items. It was relatively empty, and we were running out of daylight quick, so we rushed through the place way too fast and I know we missed a lot of it. We plan to return within the next few weeks to see it better. OK, enough reading, let's see the shots.
