While updating the website yesterday, I reached my quota for the free space allowed by Blogger for one account. No worries though, I've already spent the time to make and publish a new Abandoned Dreams website.
You can find the new website here at:

I will be using the new site to finish out the 2010 year, so if you want to keep in the know of what Abandoned Dreams is up to, check us out on the new site.

The Training School
Sick of dealing with some personal shit I got going on, I called up a few old friends and we made plans to state hop and explore and old training school. Along for the trip was Cambria, Zeke, Fifteen, and myself. We arrived a bit late, but still checked out a few buildings. Pretty decent little place, and I'm sure we'll return in the future. Damned good waste of a day.

The End Of Union Wadding
I'm quite sad to bring the following news and photos to everyone, but I feel as though I must. The Union Wadding Company mill, built in the mid 1800's, was a producer of Christmas decorations until the company moved. The building has been vacant for the last seven years, with a portion of the complex renovated into loft apartments. Last night, Union Wadding went up in flames. The five alarm fire wreaked havoc throughout the 150 year old building. Amazingly, with the help of more than seven counties of firefighters, the renovated section of the mill was spared by the fire. The residents were all evacuated, and there were no reports of any injuries. The blaze went on for more than 8 hours, and is still smoldering as I write this.
Abandoned Dreams was lucky enough to have been driving by as the building was burning, so we stopped and photographed the end of an era.
Abandoned Dreams was also lucky enough to have explored this vacant mill a number of times over the past year or so. I've rarely used it's real name to avoid incidents like this, using the fictional name "The Tinsel Mill". Here's a list of links to sets of Union on the Abandoned Dreams site, followed by my photographs of the fire, and a short video.
